Who can use Talent Grid?

Talent Grid is built for the creative business — talent, filmmakers, producers, actors, brands, and agencies. The platform has over 69 different talent roles and specialists listed, including actors, directors, cinematographers, makeup artists, lightmen, producers, and many more.

Is Talent Grid a free platform to use?

Yes, Talent Grid currently offers a free trial version. After the trial period, additional features or premium services may be introduced based on Talent Grid’s subscription plans.

How do I create an account on Talent Grid?

  • Visit the Talent Grid mobile app and download it.
  • Sign up using your mobile number (OTP verification).
  • Choose your role (Producer, Talent, or Location Owner) and complete your profile, including your showreel/portfolio and professional details.

Can I use Talent Grid on mobile?

Yes — Talent Grid has a mobile app available on both iOS and Android.

Do I need to sign up to browse talent or locations?

Yes. Sign-up and login are required to access Talent Grid’s features. Viewing talent profiles, locations, availability, and contact details is available only to registered users. Creating an account gives you full access to search filters, verified profiles, direct messaging, and all tools needed to connect with talent and production resources efficiently.

What types of professionals are listed on Talent Grid?

Talent Grid covers professionals across the film and creative industry. How can I update my profile or listing on Talent Grid?

After logging in, go to your profile and edit details such as DOB, bio, static media, rate per project, education, awards, skills, profile picture, or portfolio. Save changes to keep your profile current.

What is the difference between the Talent Grid free and paid plans?

There are no paid plans as of now.

How does Talent Grid verify talent profiles?

Talent Grid verifies profiles by continuously updating its film database with information collected directly from production houses. It also uses technology to cross-check information by scanning public databases and social platforms, maintaining accurate profiles, authentic credits, and trustworthy professional information.

Is there a review or rating system for talent and locations?

Yes. Talent Grid has a review feature called Shoutouts. Shoutouts appear on a user’s profile and can be given by production houses as well as other talent, helping highlight positive experiences and build credibility.

For Producers and Production Houses

How can I search for talent on Talent Grid?

  1. Open the platform and go to the Talent or search section.
  2. Use the search bar — type a professional’s name or keywords.
  3. Apply filters: Profession, Brand, Industry, Worked With, duration of films, and more.

Can I filter talent by specific skills or experience?

Yes. Talent Grid has 69 specialised roles covering all aspects of advertising filmmaking. Open the search section, use the search bar, and apply the Profession filter to narrow results.

Can I check the availability of talent on Talent Grid?

Yes. Talent Grid uses a colour-coded availability system:

  • Green – Enquiry received from a production house (not yet confirmed)
  • Beige – Enquiry accepted by talent (not yet confirmed)
  • Red – Project confirmed and accepted by talent
  • Grey – Talent has self-blocked the date (e.g., vacation)
  • Empty / No colour – Talent is available

Production houses can send enquiries for Green and Beige dates as well, since the project is not confirmed yet.

How do I create a project brief on Talent Grid?

  1. Log in to your Talent Grid Producer account.
  2. Navigate to the Projects section.
  3. Click on + New Project or Create Project.
  4. Fill in Film Type, Brand Name, Project Name, Location, and an optional Film Brief (max 20 MB).
  5. Click Create to publish the project.
  6. In the pop-up, click Hire Talent, search for the required role, select dates, and send an enquiry to available talent.

What does the booking process look like on Talent Grid?

After creating a project, the production house selects the required talent role and shoot dates. Talent Grid displays all matching profiles that are available on those dates. Production houses can shortlist and send enquiries to suitable talent, and hire multiple talent roles within the same project.

How can I contact talent through Talent Grid?

You can contact talent directly through one-to-one messaging. Open a talent’s profile and use the chat feature, or go to the Messaging section, select Personal Chat, search for the talent, and start a conversation.

Can I manage multiple projects on Talent Grid at the same time?

Yes. Production houses can create multiple projects simultaneously and hire multiple talents based on specific roles and availability.

How does Talent Grid help with managing crew availability?

Only talent can update their own availability calendars; production houses can view them. This ensures accurate scheduling, reduces conflicts, and helps production houses plan shoots efficiently through transparent calendar visibility and direct communication.

Are payments to talent and service providers handled through Talent Grid?

Yes. Talent can raise invoices on the application and producers can make payments in one go. Producers also receive GST credit instantly once an invoice is raised.

What happens if there's a dispute with a booking or payment?

Talent Grid has an extensive customer support department to handle all kinds of disputes and grievances. All issues are resolved in accordance with the terms of service at https://talentgridnow.com.

How do I sign up as a producer on Talent Grid?

The owner of the production house must visit the Producer sign-up page on the Talent Grid website and fill out the form. The team will verify the information and convert your talent account into a producer account within up to 48 hours.

How does the Favorites feature work in Talent Grid?

Spot a talent that excels? Save each talent profile with only the films you liked, a priority score, and a note — so when you’re crewing up, your shortlist is already ready.

How do I upload new films to the platform?

If a film is missing, tap Add New Film. Enter the production house name, film title, film link (YouTube or Vimeo only), and the crew link from a social media post by the production house that includes all crew details. Once submitted, it will be reviewed by the backend team and added after approval.

How do I report incorrect credits for films or production house names?

Tap the three dots on the film icon and select Report Film. Choose the appropriate reason, enter the film URL (posted by the production house with credits), and add any notes. Then click Report. Note: Instagram and Facebook links are not supported.

How can I add members to my production house account?

  1. Log in to your Talent Grid account.
  2. Go to the Team section in Profile.
  3. Click Add Member, search for the talent name, and set their permission level (Viewer, Editor, etc.).
  4. Click Add.

Does Talent Grid have access to my chats and negotiations?

No. Talent Grid’s proprietary chat is end-to-end encrypted. Your conversations about project deals, fees, and other sensitive information remain fully private between you and the other party.

For Talent (Actors, Technicians, etc.)

How do I create a talent profile on Talent Grid?

  1. Download the app from the respective app store.
  2. Enter your phone number and OTP.
  3. Provide your first and last name, select your role, and click Submit.

What information should I include in my talent profile?

  • Basic details: name, role(s), home location, gender, language, preferred work type
  • Skills and specialisations: key skills, tools, areas of expertise
  • Portfolio and static media files
  • Education and awards
  • Contact information
  • Brief bio: a short summary of your style, strengths, and the kinds of projects you are open to

Can I upload my showreel and portfolio to Talent Grid?

Yes. Talent Grid lets you add showreels, short films, and links to external work on Vimeo and YouTube. Uploading your best work helps clients see your style and skills, increasing your chances of getting discovered and booked.

How do I get booked for a project on Talent Grid?

  1. Create a complete profile with role, skills, experience, location, availability, and bio.
  2. Upload your showreel or portfolio so clients can assess your work.
  3. Keep your availability calendar updated.
  4. Respond promptly to project enquiries.
  5. Discuss scope, timelines, budget, and expectations with the client.
  6. Confirm the booking once both parties agree.

Can I control the visibility of my profile or make it private?

No. Talent Grid is designed to enable engagements amongst its users. All users are encouraged to keep their profile live and updated with verifiable information.

How do I manage my availability and bookings on the platform?

Update your availability directly on your Talent Grid calendar to reflect open or booked dates. Bookings are managed through enquiries and direct communication on the platform.

Can I withdraw from a project once I've been booked?

Yes. Communicate directly with the production house through the project negotiation chat. Note that withdrawals may have financial considerations — please refer to the terms before withdrawing.

What does the "Assign Manager" feature do?

It allows you to delegate management of your Talent Grid profile to a trusted person — such as a manager, agent, or coordinator — who can update your profile, respond to enquiries, manage your calendar, upload films, and ensure timely communication with clients.

How do I add my GST and PAN details?

  1. Go to Profile Settings.
  2. Navigate to GSTIN Details / PAN Card Details.
  3. Click Add GST/PAN Details.
  4. Enter your GST number and/or PAN number.
  5. Click Save.

Why should I update my calendar regularly?

Producers prefer talent with an updated calendar, and maintaining it can improve your search ranking. The most active users appear at the top of search results. Keeping your calendar updated also creates a sense of urgency, as producers can see your enquiries, tentative bookings, and confirmed bookings.

How do I pin or unpin films? What does the "Pin to Top" feature do?

Click the three dots on the film icon and select Pin Film. Follow the same steps to unpin.

How do I hide films from my showreel?

Click the three dots on the film icon and select Hide Film. Follow the same steps to unhide.

How do I claim multiple accounts?

  1. Search using part of your first or last name and filter by role.
  2. Review the showreel to confirm the work belongs to you, then click Know this person.
  3. Choose It’s me and submit the request.
  4. For your first claim, authenticate with PAN details. After this you can claim all profiles linked to your work.

Note: incorrect claims may result in your master profile being suspended.

How can I update my calendar with offline enquiries I receive?

Go to the Calendar section, tap Self Block → Project, enter the project name, select the project status, and enter start and end dates. For personal events, tap Self Block → Personal, enter a title and dates, then tap Block.

What if my non-credit work needs a verified badge?

Tap Add New Film → Other Work, choose the production house name (or select “Other” and enter it), enter the film name and link (YouTube or Vimeo only), and click Add. The film goes through a vetting process and, once approved, appears with a Verified badge.

What does the Follow feature mean?

The Follow feature allows one user to follow another (Talent or Production House) to receive content updates and notifications. It enhances discoverability and content exposure through interest-based connections.

Will the person I follow know that I'm following them?

Yes. A notification will be triggered, letting them know they are being followed.

Can I see who is following me?

Yes. You can see your followers in your profile under the Followers action button, located below your profile name.

Can people check who I'm following?

No. The Followers and Following action buttons are hidden from third-party viewers.

How do I increase my chances of finding an opportunity using Talent Grid?

Share your Talent Grid showreel on social media and with production houses when pitching for work. Research suggests verified work increases the chances of securing an opportunity by up to 84%. Also, upload your own work on the app and provide as much information as possible to help the team verify it and assign a verified badge.

I did not sign up for Talent Grid. Yet they are collecting my information. How do I have my data removed?

Talent Grid collects data from publicly available sources such as social media or aggregation websites. If you wish to have your data removed, write to grievance@talentgridnow.com.

Why does Talent Grid require PAN verification?

PAN verification is required only for the first time you claim another account. This ensures the claim is made by the rightful owner. Talent Grid does not save your PAN information — all communication with CBDT is encrypted.

Are my chats and negotiations encrypted?

Yes. Talent Grid’s proprietary chat is end-to-end encrypted. Your conversations remain fully private between you and the other party.

Why do I see multiple accounts in my name?

Talent Grid relies on production house data to confirm and verify credits. Variations in names can result from minor spelling errors posted by production houses, or they may represent different individuals. To maintain data integrity, the information is retained exactly as posted.

For Location Owners

How can I list my location on Talent Grid?

What kind of locations can I list on Talent Grid?

How do I set my location's availability on the platform?

Availability settings are managed through your location profile on the platform. Contact support for a walkthrough.

Can I specify pricing for different times or services at my location?

Yes. Talent Grid supports comprehensive location quotations that can include various pricing heads and add-on charges.

Can producers book my location directly through Talent Grid?

Direct booking is a prerogative of the location owner. Talent Grid encourages direct booking, but some owners may choose to approve and verify before accepting.

How do I manage location booking requests and inquiries?

Booking requests and enquiries are managed through your location profile and the platform’s messaging and project management tools.

How does Talent Grid handle data privacy and security?

Are there any contracts or terms of service when using Talent Grid?

What payment methods are accepted on Talent Grid?

Net banking, credit and debit cards, and UPI are currently accepted.

Can I cancel or modify my booking once confirmed?

Cancellations are supported. The terms of cancellation are agreed between the talent and employer at the time of engagement. Talent Grid does not apply any cancellation fees.

How does Talent Grid handle taxes such as GST?

Talent Grid enables hassle-free GST management. Once a talent raises an invoice, the GST invoice is generated and immediately uploaded to the Talent’s GST account (GSTR-2). The producer will see credit within 24 hours. With the necessary permissions, Talent Grid can also update the producer’s dashboard with received tax credits.

Can I export my booking or talent data from Talent Grid?

The team is working on allowing exports.

Is there a feature to track my earnings or expenses on Talent Grid?

A payments dashboard for producers is currently available. A dedicated dashboard for talent to track earnings is in development.

How do I remove or deactivate my account on Talent Grid?

Choose the Delete Account option from your profile settings. Once deleted, your profile, showreel, portfolio, work history, calendar, project records, linked accounts, bank details, GST/PAN information, and chat history will be permanently erased.

Does Talent Grid offer any marketing or promotional tools for users?

No. Talent Grid is built on the premise of allowing merit to drive opportunities and does not provide promotional tools for users.

How do I provide feedback or suggest improvements to Talent Grid?

Open the Talent Grid app, go to Settings → Help / Support, and look for a Feedback, Suggest Improvements, or Contact Us option. Write your feedback clearly and submit it.

Platform Discovery and General Questions

1. What regions/cities does Talent Grid actively cover right now?

Talent Grid currently operates across India.

2. What industries and project types are most active on Talent Grid (ads/films/events/digital)?

Ads and other creative requirements of brands are the most active categories on Talent Grid.

3. Do I need an account to browse listings, or only to contact/book?

You need an account to browse listings and to contact or book through the application.

4. Is there a "Verified" badge, and what checks are required to earn it?

The Claimed badge serves as verification. Users earn the badge by simply verifying themselves using a government-issued identity card.

Account and Permissions

5. Can one company account have multiple team members with different roles/permissions?

Yes. Company accounts can include multiple team members, each assigned different roles and permissions to ensure efficient production house management.

6. Can I switch between Producer and Talent modes under the same login?

Yes. Both accounts serve different purposes and you can switch freely. Go to the Profile tab and click on Settings to switch profiles.

7. How does Talent Grid manage role-based access for different team members (e.g., producer, coordinator)?

The executive producer is considered the owner of a Production House. Once activated, they have the right to assign account access to other users and manage access levels for features such as messaging and the black book.

Search, Filtering, and Shortlisting (Producers)

8. Can I save shortlists by project and share them with my team/client?

Yes. You can save shortlists and directly contact talent from them. The list is automatically shared within the production house users.

9. Can I filter talent by skills, languages, location, and budget/rate range?

Yes. You can filter talent by home location, language, and budget.

10. Can I search by equipment/kit availability (camera, lights, sound, drone, vehicle)?

No, this feature is not currently available.

11. Can I request quotes from multiple providers in one action?

No, bulk quote requests are not currently supported.

Availability, Scheduling, and Booking

12. Can I view or request availability for specific dates before booking?

Yes. You can view availability in the Talent’s calendar by going to their profile.

13. Does Talent Grid support "hold" vs "confirmed" availability states?

Yes. There is an option to soft-lock a talent provided the talent gives consent.

14. What is the step-by-step booking flow from inquiry to confirmation?

  1. Talent Signup & Role Selection — The talent signs up, completes their profile by selecting their professional roles (Director, DOP, Makeup Artist, etc.), and provides details like experience, portfolio/showreel, skills, location, and availability.
  2. Producer Creates a Project — The producer clicks the Project Creation button on the home screen or the + symbol in the calendar, and enters project details (title, description, location, brief).
  3. Producer Selects Required Roles & Dates — The producer specifies the roles needed and selects project dates. The system filters and displays eligible talent profiles.
  4. Producer Sends Enquiry — The producer sends an enquiry with project details, role requirements, and dates. No booking is confirmed at this stage.
  5. Talent Responds — The talent marks themselves as Interested or opts out. If the talent opts out, the enquiry closes.
  6. Talent Sends Quotation — Interested talent submits a quotation specifying their fee and any additional terms.
  7. Negotiation — The producer can accept the quotation or make a counter-offer. This continues until both parties agree or one party declines.
  8. Confirmation — Once the quotation is accepted, the booking is locked and the confirmed dates are automatically reflected in the talent’s calendar.

15. Can I create a project brief with dates, call times, deliverables, and references?

Talent Grid does not support in-platform brief creation, but a brief can be uploaded to the project and shared with the appropriate audience.

16. Can I attach files to a brief (script/storyboard/moodboard/call sheet)?

Yes. Such documents can be attached and shared with users across the board.

Payment and Invoicing

17. Are cancellations supported, and what is the cancellation policy/fee structure?

Cancellations are supported. The terms of cancellation are agreed between the talent and the employer at the time of engagement. Talent Grid does not apply any cancellation fees.

18. Are payments handled inside Talent Grid or paid directly to providers?

Payments are automatically credited to the appropriate party via the platform.

19. What payment methods are supported (cards, UPI, bank transfer, etc.)?

Bank transfers (net banking), credit and debit cards, and UPI are supported.

20. Are platform/service fees shown upfront, and who pays them?

There are no platform fees currently.

21. Are invoices generated automatically, and can I add a PO number/cost centre?

Yes. Invoices are generated automatically upon approval by the talent. There is an option to add a PO number.

22. How are taxes handled on payments (e.g., GST/TDS where applicable)?

Talent Grid enables hassle-free GST management for talent and producers. Once an invoice is raised by the talent, the GST invoice is generated and immediately uploaded to the Talent’s GST account (GSTR-2). The producer will see credit within 24 hours. This enables the producer to make payments with confidence.

Further, upon receiving the necessary permissions, Talent Grid can update the producer’s dashboard with received tax credits from the producers’ GST account.

Dispute Resolution and Support

23. How are disputes handled (no-show, quality issues, payment disagreements), and what's the resolution process?

Talent Grid has a grievance and dispute resolution officer. Details of the same are available on the website.

24. How do I contact customer support, and what are the support hours/SLAs for active shoots?

You can contact customer support from the Settings screen by selecting Contact Support.

Talent-Side Questions (Profile Management, Visibility, and Earnings)

25. Can talent track inquiries, bookings, and earnings inside the platform?

Yes. Talent can track inquiries, bookings, and earnings through the Talent Calendar and the project status list view.

26. Can talent control profile visibility (public/private/limited) and hide contact details until booked?

Talent Grid is designed to maximise opportunity for talent. Keeping a profile available enables seamless access and discovery. Hidden contact details are therefore not currently supported.

27. Can talent upload reels, portfolios, credits, and documents (IDs/certifications) to their profile?

Yes. Talent can upload showreels in the Add Film section and add their portfolio in the About section. Talent can also update profile details such as skills, gender, languages, home location, education, and awards.

Location Owner-Specific Questions

28. For location owners: can I set rules, availability, pricing tiers, and add-on charges (security/cleaning/power)?

Yes. Talent Grid provides for creation of a comprehensive location quotation which can include various charge heads.

29. For location owners: can producers book directly or do all bookings require approval?

Direct booking is a prerogative of the location owner. While Talent Grid encourages location owners to allow for direct booking, some may choose to approve and verify before accepting.

Data Privacy, Security, and Exporting Information

30. Can I export booking/payment data for accounting or reporting?

Yes. All payment-related data can be exported.

31. How does Talent Grid handle data privacy, security, and retention of chats/records?

The terms of service and privacy policy are available on the website.

Account Deactivation and Removal

32. How do I deactivate or delete my account, and what happens to existing bookings/listings?

You can delete your account from the Settings screen by selecting Delete My Account. Once deleted, your entire account data will be permanently removed from the platform.
